New Illustration this week

It was a crazy week last week and to be honest this coming week really doesn't look any less hectic, but since it has been a while since I last posted I wanted to give you a sneak peek into what I have been working on over the weekend.



This is my first attempt at total digital drawing. I am using a Wacom tablet and pen (one of these days I MAY have a Cintiq) and drawing right into Adobe Illustrator with the brush tool, mainly. I use Illustrator to draw into rather than Photoshop because 1.) I'm better at Illustrator than Photoshop 2.) t-shirt printing often requires some resizing and crisp lines and shapes to print well and vectors are the best in both those areas.

Anyway, I am working on a couple of video blog type things explaining some of my process on various projects so I'll post those up as soon as I can and try to keep a better update schedule in general.
